Your Miracle is Waiting For You

As a pastor, my wish is that all the members of the congregation experience miracles. I want to see all of you blessed financially and healed from every disease. But the fact of the matter is, not all experience the above.
“There were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed-only Naaman the Syrian.” (Lk.4:26-28)
In the day of Elisha, there was this widow who experienced an unusual miracle. To save time, I want you to read it yourself from 2 Kings 4:1-7. She moved from desperation to satisfaction and abundance. She had nothing, but God multiplied it into something that saved her and her sons.
Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to speak the word of life into us and see what this widow did. First, she was desperate. There’s a difference between being thirsty and dehydrated. If you’re thirsty, you can still wait for water to quench your thirst. But if you’re dehydrated, you need water immediately lest you will die.
She then came to Elisha, believed the word the prophet said, and she acted in obedience everything he said to her. I don’t know about you, but I could imagine that it was not easy for her to go and borrow large numbers of vessels from her neighbors. She must have gone out of her comfort zone and worked hard; she let go of her pride and was not lazy.
I would encourage you to read the previous paragraph again and meditate on the words printed in bold as well as the words in between. What has been blocking your breakthrough? Why aren’t you experiencing God’s goodness? Could it be that the words in the paragraph are the steps to your miracle? Do you realize that there are times God is waiting for man (and woman) to do their part in order for HIM to do HIS part. It is God’s desire that none should perish, but it takes man to believe in Jesus Christ. There are things that God will do unconditionally, but there are also things God is waiting for you to respond and do.
“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed (in the original language the oil waited, as if it was a person). Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, ‘Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.’” (2 Kgs.4:6-7 KJV)

Hi Pastor Paul.
Great Blog! Words I needed to hear.
Have a great day.
