The desert song

Are you currently in the “desert”?  Are you facing adversities at home, at work, in business?

When you are on the top of the hills, you glorify him, when you are in the valley or in the dessert, you worship him.

This short video was taken from CBC Claremont when we worship with Hillsong’s “the desert song”:

Don’t be a weekly Christian.  Pray and worship Him unceasingly.

John Piper wrote that in the 19th century, the evangelical statesman William Wilberforce, who was largely responsible to abolish England’s slave trades, used his one-mile walk to and from Parliament, where he served in the House of Commons, to memorize and mediate on Psa 119.  William Wilberforce could recite the entire Psalm 119 in the course of that one-mile walk.  He seized the time to speak truth to himself.

Similarly, you can seize the time to worship God wherever you are.  Redeem the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 4:16)

Make the time to worship him at home, at school, on the way to work.

Worship when you are at school campus, worship while you are driving to work, worship while you are driving back from work.

BTW, just as God spoke to our sister Agnes while she was driving home, you can hear God “speak” to you through many different ways,  wherever you are.  Don’t miss it when He speaks to you.

If this video helps you, we would love to hear from you.  Please leave your comment.

Here is the lyric so you can worship along with us. Play it over and over again:

The Desert Song

Verse 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
And all that’s within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides

Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it’s way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I’ll stand

Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I’m filled to be empited again
The seed I’ve recieved I will sow
