Keep Pressing On!

I remember Archbishop Duncan Williams saying, “Money can move earth, but prayer can move heaven.” God is attracted to prayer; HE dwells in the holy place where the praises of His people are offered. When we pray, God will dispatch angels to help us. You must be persistent even when you do not see the immediate result manifesting.

One aspect of prayer involves spiritual warfare. “Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.” (Dan.10:12-13)

When we apply fasting according to Isaiah 58, we will have the right attitude in our heart. What’s next? Keep pressing on in prayer with the authority God has given you.

Declare that the enemy cannot attack you with any condemnation. Break down any stronghold that has been holding you back during the past season. Confess that you have been washed by the blood of the Lamb and that you are sanctified, righteous, and redeemed.

Expose the schemes, methods, and strategies of Satan and nullify them in the name of Jesus. Whatever blindness Satan has caused you in the past is being brought into the light of God. Darkness cannot stand in the presence of Light.

Decree that the enemy cannot twist truth into a partial lie. He cannot deceive you, but with the power of the Word of Truth, you will be set free. There will be no gossip, no tongue twisting of the truth, no slander or foul-mouthed abuse in the name of Jesus.

When Satan tries to bring you back to your past sins, declare that you have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of God, our Creator. Decree that you are being renewed day by day and that your life is now transformed by the entire renewal of your mind with its new ideals and new attitude.

Take back whatever the enemy has stolen from you and declare that he cannot steal anything from you, your family, your physical body, or from your possessions. Resist and cast Satan out when he tries to steal the seeds of the Word of God, the promises and purpose of God over your life, your family, as well as the church.

Believe in the Word of God more than what you feel or don’t feel, even more than other people’s opinions, and apply discernment when the enemy disguises himself as the angel of light.

Rise up, awake from your slumber, be alert, and engage in continuous prayer. Now is the time to continue warring with the proven weapons of God to defeat the enemy and establish the purposes of God, fulfilling the God-given vision with a Holy Spirit determination
