Being a nurse has always been my future goal ever since I was in high school.  People vaniasay that CSULB has one of the best nursing programs in California and that’s the reason why I am currently attending the school.  Sure enough, I discover that the nursing program in CSULB is very competitive.  Out of 400 applicants, only 90 students get admitted into the program each semester which include only two international students.  When I heard this news, I was discouraged and stressed out. However, God always reminds me that His plan is always for my best and I am only responsible to do my part, and He will do His.  I also believe the verse that says, “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).  My experience these past three years in CSULB have been all about fulfilling the requirements for general education classes and taking the classes I need to be able to apply to the nursing program.  I studied as much as I could and always tried to earn the best grades.  These years were tough and very stressful, but I remembered what Pastor Paul has been preaching these past months.  Pastor Paul always mentioned that by “doing the natural, the supernatural shall come to pass,” and it happened to me in reality. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  This verse put me down on my knees in these past three years, specifically for the admission into the nursing program. Praying and asking God for directions and His grace, as well as surrendering to Him were the things that I did in these three years.  A month before submitting my application to the nursing department at CSULB, I prayed and fasted.  What is the result?  The power of praying is powerful, and praises the Lord, I got into the program! J  I know that the war does not end here, things will get tougher, but I know that my God, Jesus Christ is always there to guide me and He can overcome any obstacles.  Seek Him first through worship, prayer, and fasting, and you will win the war.  He is waiting for you to invite Him into the war you are in and to calm the storms you are experiencing.  God Bless you!
