Worship Ministry

MUSIC DEPARTMENT:
 
The Claremont CBC Music Department is comprised of the Music Ministry, Sound System Ministry, Recording Ministry and Digital Display Ministry – together all these different ministries serve the musical and audio-visual needs of the church services and events.

MUSIC MINISTRY:
 
“Shout with joy to the LORD, O earth!  Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy … Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:1-2,4, New Living Translation)
 
The praise and worship portion of the church service is not a ‘warm-up’ to the sermon – it’s the gateway to enter and experience God’s presence!
 
The singers and musicians in the Music Ministry serve the Lord with passion and lead the congregation in praise and worship using their God-given musical talents (levels of skill can be from ‘beginner’ to ‘advanced’).

SOUND SYSTEM MINISTRY:
 
The Sound System Ministry provides the technical support in the audio-visual areas (sound system, projector, DVD/VHS, stage lighting) of a church service/event.  If you’re interested to join, technical knowledge on these things are preferable but not necessary, because training can be provided.

RECORDING MINISTRY:
 
The Recording Ministry is responsible to digitally record and duplicate the sermon CD and tapes (for sale to the public), and also to record the praise & worship sessions and make the files ready for the Music Ministry members (for review and training purposes only).  If you’re interested to join, training to operate the software and hardware will be provided.

DIGITAL DISPLAY MINISTRY:
 
The members of Digital Display Ministry crew prepare the necessary songs/files needed for each upcoming service using a multimedia display software; then during the service one DDM operator works from the computer to display the song lyrics and other information (announcements, etc.) that need to be projected onto the screen.  If you’re interested to join, training is provided.
